In 2012, Yandu successfully passed the acceptance of "Provincial Standardized Demonstration Area for 667 Hectare Facility-based Strawberry", won more than 40 national and provincial gold and silver awards, more than 20 registered trademarks, and in 2018, "Yandu Strawberry" successfully registered the National Geographical indication certification trademark. On May 4, 2021, Yancheng City won the right to host the 10th International Strawberry Symposium. This is the second time that the International Strawberry Symposium, known as the "Strawberry Olympics", has come to China after Changping in Beijing in 2012.
